Melanie Fastrup
I’ve lost someone today. Not someone I’ve gotten to know well, but someone who inspired me greatly. Melanie Fastrup was my Honored Teammate through Team in Training. She’s one I was racing for. Today, she lost her battle with Waldenstrom’s Macroglobulinemia (a form on non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma) which has no cure. Please pray for her husband, Dan, my teammate, and her daughters.

I’m sorry. Prayers for Dan and his daughters. How devastating.

I left you a comment a while back and vice versa. I haven’t been on this blog-thing in months. Anyway, I happened to read this and just want you to know I will pray for her family. What a great thing you’re doing.

Thank you, Natalie. Our team leaves tomorrow for the race and she’ll be on our minds the entire time, giving us a reminder to why we’re doing this.
